About Paul Jeffries

Paul Jeffries is a global strategist in community development with over 25 years of experience harnessing the power of football to support underserved youth and build stronger, more connected communities. His work focuses on developing cross-sector partnerships, collaborating with local governments, professional clubs, and grassroots leaders to create programs that advance health, safety, and social inclusion.

He currently serves as an advisor to City Football Group and sits on the board of City in the Community, the foundation of New York City Football Club, which he co-founded in 2010 in partnership with Manchester City FC and the UAE Embassy in Washington, D.C.

He holds a Master’s degree in Sports Management from Columbia University and is the author of the Youth Soccer Player Handbook. Across three decades, Paul has remained committed to using sport not simply as a game, but as a global tool for development, connection, and opportunity.
